Introduction
The Computer Center of our school was established in 1969. Its main purpose is to cooperate with the computerization of school administration, the development of Internet, the teaching and research of computer and Internet-related courses in various departments, and to provide high-efficiency computer classrooms and servers. and network system resources, so that all faculty, staff and students of the school can receive convenient, fast and high-quality services.
The Computing Center moved to the eighth floor of the current Finance and Economics Building in 1989. Wireless network services were officially launched in 1992. In 1996, the Computing Center purchased the latest dual-core computer of the same level as the grid computing system host of the "National High-Speed Network and Computer Center" The processor host group has built a new generation of network server hosts and wireless network services in 103, and expanded the coverage year by year. In May 2011, it joined eduroam international wireless network roaming, and the main lines in the campus adopt optical fiber networks to all floors. The bandwidth between various areas (buildings) in the school has been increased to 10Gbps. The total switching bandwidth within the school is 2Tbps, and the external (TANET, academic network) bandwidth reaches GE (1Gbps). In addition, there is a second backup from Chunghwa Telecom Line (300Mbps).
The center provides 4 computer classrooms and 1 national examination room to support school-wide teaching and certification training examinations. They all use LCD screens and are equipped with projection or broadcast teaching systems. Legally authorized software is installed on the computers, and professional teaching practice software for each department is purchased year by year for the entire school. Used by teachers and students.
The Computing Center Advisory Committee plans the long-term development direction and supervises the use of funds. The director is responsible for the overall development of the actual center, budget preparation and implementation, overall coordination and utilization of software and hardware resources, personnel coordination and assessment, teaching research and school administrative support, etc. It has two groups under its jurisdiction: the Network Management Group and the School Affairs Information Group. Please refer to the members for related grouping and business.
